What is the implementation deadline?
A: The implementation deadline is the date by which the implementation must be completed and typically set at least one week before the group’s effective date. To ensure successful implementation, all required information must be submitted by this date. For any exceptional circumstances, contact partners@yuzu.health.

What banking information is required during implementation?
A: The FBO (For Benefit Of) account is required to comply with KYB (Know Your Business) regulations. This requires, tax, personnel and banking information to create and fund the account.

How do I connect a bank account?
A: Go to the Bank Account tab and use Plaid to link your bank. You’ll confirm a micro-deposit (a one-cent test deposit) to complete the connection.

What if I run into errors while linking the bank account?
A: Verify the account name, routing number, and account number. You can consult Plaid’s troubleshooting guide or contact your bank directly.

How do I upload a census file?
A: Download the roster format from the portal. Make sure all column names and formats match the template, and ensure every email and phone number is unique. Upload via the ‘Upload Employees’ section.

My census file is not uploading. What should I do?
A: If your census file isn’t uploading, it’s often because the column names do not match the required format. After attempting to upload, you’ll be prompted to map your column headers and row inputs to the required format (e.g., mapping ‘Employee’ to ‘Subscriber’) to ensure proper processing.

How do I make changes to enrollment before the plan is live?
A: Add a member using ‘Upload Employees’ > ‘Add Subscriber’; Edit via ‘Verify Employees’ > select member > Edit, or remove via the Edit tab in their profile.

Who manages contracts for members?
A: Yuzu or the Plan Designer will handle contract distribution, not the employer or broker.

Does Yuzu manage COBRA?
A: Yes, for medical benefits only and at no additional cost. Yuzu handles notices and bills COBRA members directly. If another vendor will manage COBRA, select ‘Use other COBRA vendor’ in the portal’s Rules tab.

How does the broker and other vendors get paid?
A: Brokers are paid directly from the employer’s FBO account during the first week of each month.

How does Yuzu get paid?
A: Yuzu charges a transparent Per Employee Per Month (PEPM) fee. There are no hidden fees, vendor kickbacks, or percentage-of-savings charges.

Can I connect an HRIS system to Yuzu?
A: Yes. Yuzu supports HRIS system integration. To get started, please email partners@yuzu.health with your group’s details and file format. Full integration instructions can be found in the Account Management guide.
